  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 cup rasmalai milk (recipe included)
  • ½ cup oil (canola or vegetable oil)
  • ½ cup rasmalai milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ to 1 cup powdered sugar (depending on the sweetness you like; I use ¾ cup)
  • ¼ cup rasmalai milk (recipe included)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 6-7 almonds (sliced)
  • 6-7 pistachios (sliced)
  • Few strands saffron (optional)
  • 1-2 tbsp rasmalai milk (recipe included)
  • Dry rose petals (as needed)

Directions:

  1. To make rasmalai milk: In a bowl, mix evaporated milk, whole milk, sugar, cardamom powder, saffron, and condensed milk. Stir well until the sugar dissolves. Set aside.
  2. To make the rasmalai cake:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cardamom powder. In another bowl, whisk yogurt, oil, sugar, rasmalai milk, and water. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
